Gregory

Gregory
experimented with drugs in high school. It became a lifelong heroin addiction. He got a job, got married and had two children, but his marriage fell apart and he lost his job. “It was the drugs. It changed my whole attitude. I neglected my family. Everything started to deteriorate. I was at the end of my rope with nowhere to go, when I heard about the Mission.

When I got there, I went to a Chapel service and decided to get God in my life. The Chaplain prayed with me and I said the prayer of salvation.” Gregory joined The Discipleship & Training Program. When the Mission moved to its new campus, he moved with it, where he cooks and studies the Bible. “Getting into the spiritual side of life made me realize when I was sinning, I was walking towards the devil. Reading God’s word has really changed my life. There’s no better feeling than waking up in the morning with no worries on your mind. If not for the Mission, I’d be on the streets or in jail.”
