Whether you donate household items or shop at our Thrift Store, you provide for people in need.

Donations That Do Good!

Whatever you donate to the Mission—gently used clothing, furniture, or household goods—helps our shelter guests live better lives and move into permanent housing. And when you shop at The Union Mission Thrift Store, 100% of the proceeds support our ministry. All of your donations are tax-deductible!

Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Our daily specials can save you money: as much as 50% to 75% off on your purchases. Additional deals apply for seniors, active-duty military service members, teachers, and students.

We provide gently used clothing to all of our homeless guests while they are staying in our shelters. And when they find permanent housing, we bless them with donated furniture, housewares, and other helpful items to start their next chapter of life.

Donation Drop-Off at The Union Mission

Donation Drop-Off is located on our main campus.

As you enter at the light from Virginia Beach Blvd., pass the Overton Center on your right, turn right into the parking lot, and drive up to the covered bay. Our friendly warehouse staff will be happy to help you unload your donations and provide you with a receipt, if you like.

Tax Receipts

If you would like a tax receipt for the goods you have donated, you can create one here.

Donation Drop Boxes

We also offer four convenient Drop Box locations at partnering churches across South Hampton Roads. These can accept clothing, shoes, and accessories. Look for one near you!
