Isaac Tan has served six years as a counselor, life guard, and program leader at Camp Hope Haven.
It was after his second semester in seminary that God made it clear to John that he’d return to work at The Union Mission in some capacity.
“It’s about helping kids take the next step, learn courage, independence, how to be in community with others, and help them personalize their relationship with God.”
“God is always there giving us strength and courage to carry on. Who knows, perhaps some other camper will come back years later and serve the Lord here at Hope Haven.”
“I am very thankful to serve in the Wellness Program at The Union Mission. I am humbled by the blessings I receive each day. When I help our guest with a need I am thankful the Lord can use us as vessels of love and compassion.”
“I am so thankful for the privilege of serving at the Mission. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to share the love and care of God with those hurting in our community. Being used as His hands and feet is a humbling experience that leaves me grateful for a community that cares enough to support our most vulnerable.”
